Welcome message from the AGCPC Chair

Distinguished seniors, esteemed colleagues and friends,

My name is Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya. I am also known as Mrs B, and it is my honour and privilege to be the Chair of the Conference Planning Committee of the 2024 Annual General Conference. In this capacity, I am thrilled to welcome you all to the conference portal, where you can register for the conference and learn all about what it has to offer.

As you already know, this year, from the 23rd to the 28th of August, we will be gathering in the vibrant city of Lagos; the land of aquatic splendour, teeming with legal minds and a rich history, the city of “no dulling” and city I am proud to call home.

Attending the NBA Annual General Conference in Lagos is always a special experience, and this year will be no exception. I guess the best way to put it is: “if you know, you know!”

I am privileged to be leading a sterling team of dedicated Bar men and women united in one single purpose – to plan an excellent conference in the Centre of Excellence. And that is exactly what we are going to do!

The theme is PRESSING FORWARD: A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria – a theme that is not only timely and relevant, but it also holds significant implications for the future of legal practice and our nation. And it resonates deeply with the challenges and opportunities we face as a legal community.
